Founded in Houston by Yvonne Hill in 2021, Hillrock Tutors is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable access to higher education. We focus on helping students strengthen their math foundations, improve test scores, and feel truly prepared for the next step in their academic journey.
Yvonne, originally from Oregon and now a Houston resident, earned her degree in Zoology from Miami University in Ohio. She began her tutoring career at her alma mater, The Rinella Learning Center, where she tutored Chemistry I & II and discovered how much impact one-on-one support can have on a student’s confidence.
After graduating with two Senior Service Awards, Yvonne worked with many tutoring agencies, specializing in standardized tests including STAAR, MAP, ISEE, SSAT, ACT, and SAT exams. That experience inspired her to create Hillrock Tutors—an online tutoring program that combines strong test prep, clear math instruction, and a supportive learning environment for students locally in Houston and around the world.
